I agree on both counts. What do you want to primarily use the washer 
for? If just for washing, probably something in the 1000-1200PSI is 
sufficient (most commercial car washes are probably around 1200+-). For 
stripping, a higher PSI, but at the really high pressures, they can do 
some serious damage if the nozzle is set too tight, is held too close or 
at a 90-degree angle to the surface. My little electric 1000 actually 
generates 1280, enough to pressure-burn wood if I'm not careful. And 
NEVER use the washer on itself.
