I started collecting when I moved into my home 16 years ago. I needed a tractor to help maintain my 1/4 mile long gravel driveway. My father-in-law gave me an Allis-Chalmers C and I had so much fun with it I had to have another, after a while these things kind of grow on you and you have to have more. I've sold a few over the years, but at my last count I have 25 of them around here somewhere (I think they breed in the winter time). Anyway, I've tried selective breeding and it seems to be working, more of the steel wheeled ones have been ariving yearly and I wait in anticipation for next years "crop".

Enjoy, Joe

Subject: [AT] When started collecting

I guess I started collecting when I built a "tractor" using an old car and an
xtra transmision when I was in High school in the 60's. Also built a manual
ift for it. Worked OK to pull a horse type pull cycle mower in pasture, or
low a garden.
moved up to getting a JD "D" in the 70's in Tulsa but had to sell it in the
ast 70's when I got transferred to Ohio. In Ohio I got an MM "U", and had to
ell it when I got transferred again. Move back to Tulsa and got an F20, and
950 Jacobson garden tractor and a 444 Case garden tractor. Stored F20, various
arden tractors at relatives in Kansas when I was in Russia, and also picked up
JD "B" and a Case "C". Now that I have a few permanant places, I need to spend
ime retreiving them and working on them and getting more tractors to go with
hem.
