Ok that mentions tobacco lathe which down here we call tobacco sticks. So
I'm guessing it's just another way to handle green tobacco after the leaves
have been "tied" on sticks/lathe. Could be a way to transport the tobacco
to a barn or it could be a way to hold it while it's drying. I don't know.
Also, looking at the thing it could be a frame to hold racks for a bulk
curing barn but I don't think PA tobacco is cured that way. Someone help
