Todd,  No spark at all.  I was checking it last evening as getting dark.  No spark.  I think I have the gap correct (.20) for a coil...and just using the magneto as a distributor.

You really shouldn't get much spark at the points. If you were getting a really noticeable spark at the points, then the condenser is shot and the points would get burned out in a short period.

Well, I am still not  the Farmall A started.  No spark to points.  I put on new 
points and new condenser.  Set ththe points at .20 and cleaned them.   Had the 
coil checked.  Put in new distributor gear (old one had a chip in it so the 
rotor had quite a bit play in it).   Put a new magneto cap on it (it is 
converted from magneto to 12 volts and the magneto is being used as a 
distributor.  Put a new wire from the end of the condenser to the base of the 
points (that is a pain) thinking that it might have a short in it.  
Finally quite tonight at 9:30.  Any suggetions. 
I have been messing with this thing off and an on now for a month.
