Here, of course.
I have been real busy lately with the new house and work. The financial
crisis haven't reached our part of Sweden, we have more work than ever. The
last years we had an incredible boom but this year we thought should become
a little harder so we didn't try to replace one guy that retired this winter
but now we've done that several times.
At home everything is well. The kids grow and are well. Me and my father
tried for crayfish in our creek last Saturday and after a lot of shimstock
and a few drams we ended up with almost 20 pounds, minus the ones we cooked
and ate that evening:-) Magdalena and the kids have spent the last week in
Dalarna but will come home on friday.
There have obviously been a lot of work at home with unpacking fixing what
needs to be fixed and fencing etc.
I have also been haying and that was a bit more exciting than I wished for.
I believe I broke all equipment I have, so I know what to do this winter. I
even have some internal engine problems with my David Brown 950 so I'm
likely to get back with some questions when I find the time and get the shop
in order. At last I finally got the hay in the barn with my neighbours DB
990, wow, power steering the arms never became tired though I had to load
and unload all the bales by hand.
The rental cabins were full all of july and some of june and one is occupied
by the germans right now;-) There have been a mix of swedes, danes,
norwegians, finns and germans. Due to the low rate of the swedish krona I've
never seen so many danes in sweden. I went grocery shopping yesterday and if
exclude the staff there was twice as many danes as swedes and germans.
We got a lot more many than expected for our old house, almost twice as
much. So we're planning to fly across the pond sometime next year. I believe
you can imagine the discussions, "-Portland, -Dollywood, -Portland,
Dollywood springopening, Portland, Dollywood fall whatever....." It will be
a seven or ten days trip or so since we don't want to make it in the winter.
There are so much we would like to do and people we would like to meet, but
we won't be able to make more than a tiny bit of it.
That's the short story why there haven't been much 'puter time lately, back
to work.
Glad that you're thinking of me
Mattias
