[AT] More rain... Again... Portland???

I'll bet Portland is about under water today... We just had 3.25
inches of rain here this morning (Tuesday) and it is still raining
steady and likely will for a few hours yet.
Portland is suddenly starting to look pretty iffy for us right now. I
just got a series of calls from our renter over in the next county
sounding a little freaked out... There had been a small leak in one
side of the roof and we were going to roof it this fall before winter.
He called and said that the whole one side of the house leaked and the
ceiling collapsed in two rooms and the bathroom. On his last call he
had gotten outside and looked at the roof and a substantial hail storm
had hit during the heavy rain and riddled the asphalt roof shingles
all over that side. Bits of shingle all over the ground... They are
cleaning up and tarping the best they can.
The fun never ends... :-(
As soon as Diana gets back from the nursing home where her mom is we
will go see what we are dealing with.
This is the same house that survived the tornado that took down the
Moscow, IN covered bridge last year only a few hundred feet away from
it. That twister killed a lady that lived a few hundred feet on the
other side of the bridge. The house (used to be a store) has been
sitting there since about 1836. It may be a little hard to get over
there. When I was out at noon a number of roads / bridges were
impassable.
