Ed,
You need to find out where the excess play is coming from. It can be in
the gearbox itself or the slop can be in the tie rods or steering arm or
even in the knuckles. The gear inside the gearbox can be turned to get the
worn area on the opposite side.

Subject: [Farmall] steering adjustment

  Hey, everyone,
Is there anyway to adjust the steering on a 1955 cub? Or is it time for a
rebuild? Thanks for all the help you guys give out!!

 Thanks,
  Ed
