Did they put the tire on the same direction as you gave it to them?  If 
you gave them enough to work with, they should have put it together 
right and should remount it for free.  If you tricked them, even 
unintentionally, then you should offer to pay for the remount.

I wouldn't run it in road gear, it might be a wild ride in a panic stop. 

If the were both wrong, you could just swap sides :-)
