[Farmall] Hydraulic Pump

I think I would fix if now. A washer is cheap compared to what the lack of it might do to other mechanical parts.

During?a recent oil & filter change, I probed into the oil drain plug
hole?to see if there was any metal in the pan, only to find a rather large
washer (which I was able to pull out)!? A local mechanic identified it as the
lock washer (about 1" with a locking tab on the inside edge) from the
hydraulic pump.?Since we have a belly mower installed,?he asked if the
"Touch Control" was working.? I answered "yes" and he said
just keep using it until it quits working.? THEN have it fixed.? Another
mechanic said he would fix it now, since it could damage something (he
mumbled!).? What should I do?
