If you're not getting spark at the plugs you also want to check that the 
cable from the mag to the distributor is on tight, just like the cables 
form the distributor to the spark plugs. You may have a loosened a 
connection between the distributor and the mag, or maybe the cable has an 
open circuit caused by your installing of the new harness (you may have 
broken the last piece of conductor in the cable). Check the cable with an 
ohm meter to see if it's open circuited or has high resistance. Don't know 
if the manuals have a value for what the resistance should be.
