I used to work in the woods of northern Wisc cutting trees profesionally some time ago. I had Stihl and Johnsered. I still have my Johnsered. over 30 years old and still going.

I used to work on chain saws for a living.......Here;s my humble
opinion.....
the Homelite I call a tomato slicer for that is about all they are good
for......

I use the Stihl and Husqvarna is also good ......if you want a lumber jack
saw the Johsered......

For what you are doing .pay a couple buck more and never see your dealer
again unless you need a chain or bar.....
Which ever one you use stick with their oil and good thick bar
oil.......reason the oil was made for that saw and other oils will lessen
the life of the saw
