[Ford-ferguson] oil filter for to30

Have a 1951 TO 30. Does it matter if we use a semi synthetic motor  like 
Valvoline Dura Blend  5w 30 for winter instead of straight SAE 30 or 
20?   Where is the oil filter on the engine and what is a common filter 
that fits. It's obvious from this email that I rarely do my own 
maintenance but hopefully this strong old piece of iron can endure my 
learning experiences.
