[AT] possibly OT scrap prices

Every time I talk to a scrap buyer they tell me that the prices are
down... Even when they were going up...   :-)
I did take in 3 old batteries this week and while I had been getting
$5 for them these were $4.17 Why the odd amount I have no idea. Maybe
the grounds were bad.   :-)

Regular unleaded was $3.48.9 at Wally World here last night (Tues).
When we were hauling stuff up to the Conner Prairie Museum recently I
bought gas there and they were at that time out of anything but
regular unleaded and the girl in the booth said that what fuel they
had was all they were going to have for a while and that no trucks
were scheduled. I'm not sure where they found that fuel but my old
truck sure didn't like it. By the time I had gone about 5 miles it was
running crappy. By the time I got to within about 10 miles of the
museum (about 55 mile trip) it was running so bad I didn't know if it
was going  to make it at all. There is one small fairly steep little
hill next to the place and it was all I could do to get up it. It was
about dark when I got unloaded and since I had several more trips
including the gypsy wagon I just left the big trailer there and
"hoped" to get the truck home so I could work on it the next day. I
had not filled the tank so I stopped and bought gas at a Speedway
station about 3 miles from the museum. By the time I had driven 5 more
miles the truck straightened out and it was running perfect by the
time I was half way home. It made all of the added trips without a
hitch... I did stay out of Wally World for a few days to be sure all
of "that" gas was gone. We have never had any problems there before
and it has been fine since.
