Rick, I will ask Pete Burno when I see hims next. He had a Murray Corliss that he sold a few years ago. It came out of a flour mill.

Francis, we know nothing on this engine other than it came out of
Burlington, Iowa.  It is a 5x6, center crank, and has a 1" Gardner gov.
There is a smaller one under resto for the American Threshers Association at
Pinkneyville, Illinois and he is also looking for info.  That one is 36"
long and could very well be the "School Engine."  I'm sure he'd like any
info that you had to offer.
Nothing out of the ordinary on this engine other than some evidence of
nickel plating.  The valve chest is a separate casting which is new to me
and also there are no crank counterweights and only a small balancing weight
on one of the flywheels.  It only has a 3/4" npt steam inlet which is quite
small IMO as our 7x8 Wachs has 1-1/4 inlet so we'll see how that goes.
This is our first horizontal and is in pretty good shape other than two
cracked spokes on the heavy flywheel.

Thanks for the reply Francis and any info anyone can supply would be
appreciated.

RickinMt.
