[Farmall] Vista Show in June

I hauled my Farmall C to Vista back in 2000 or thereabouts. Had so much
fun in Los Angeles and San Diego traffic that I decided not to go back, at
least not pulling a trailer.

Vista has one major advantage over most California shows; most of the
exhibits are permanent, just like some of the big shows back East.
Therefore you get to see lots of steam and large stationary gas engines.
There's a blacksmith shop and a cane sugar making process. Small train
ride for the kids. Wonderful old one-lung Fairbanks Morse road roller.
Rare 150 HP Cat engine that powers a thresher.

My favorite part was a huge boneyard. People who live in the San Diego
area donate old equipment when they lose interest or storage. Many folks
store their running tractors at Vista and fire them up for the shows.
Lots of volunteer participation.

The surrounding area is becoming more built up all the time; I hope those
folks continue to put up with the noise and traffic generated by the
shows.
