Hello,

I have an old Mcconnell 3pt backhoe that I run on my D17. The fluid is creamy white with water contamination. Filter is clogged and the pump is cavitating causing the fluid to foam.

So, I have removed the filter which was initially a Fram C-1151PB (I have the original). I did have it replaced once at NAPA but I can't remember what the replacement was since there are no markings on the newer filter. I think we matched the size of the filter...

Does anyone have any old Fram cross reference charts? I may just go to napa again and see what they have...

Also, how should I go about cleansing the system of the white cream? Should I get new oil and put it on the return side and eject the old oil? Or, should I remove the lines at the cylinders and try to drain them out from there?

Was thinking about heating some of the oil in a bucket to distill some of the water out and recycle some of the oil.

Regards,

Will Powell(PA)
