John,
a used oil pan from a salvaged tractor would be fine. Just ask whoever is
selling a used one to send you a few pictures of it, so you can at least
inspect it for yourself. I have 2 M's in my shop now that I will be taking
apart for salvaged parts. I always inspect the parts as I am tearing down a
tractor, and if they look like junk, the junk man hauls them away. If you
are interested in a used oil pan for an M, email me off the list at
sales at daytontractorparts.com I will do my best to try and fix you up with a
