You are right ford does no inter change like GM. 302 and 300 and 351W 
bell and flywheels will swap and some other parts. older 351m 400 460 
bells would swap flywheels on 351+400 460 needed a 390 flywheel. I 
parted out and built ford trucks for about 10 years. Learned a lot 
about them in that short time.        have not gotten into any EFI 
ones above 87.
