Things I have done that helped vapor locking (mostly combines) that I at 
least felt helped it...
Cuss (OK, maybe it didn't really help).
Insulate fuel lines near block.
Reroute fuel lines.
Add electric fuel pump at tank.
Add Marvel Mystery Oil to fuel.
Add some 2 cycle oil to fuel.
Not trying to run with the fuel level in the tank low.
Cuss...
