Farmer, you are absolutely right.  My memory must be slipping and I got my 
memories mixed up in my mind.
Anyway they blew something off the rim with ether and yes I have seen Dayton 
lock rings blow off but as you said it wouldn't make sense to do a Dayton 
with ether.
