[AT] OT- String trimmers and other 2-cycle pieces of garbage

Several years ago, I bit the bullet and got the cheapest straight shaft trimmer Stihl had.  I wanted to be able to run a brush and saw blade and this head would handle it.  I then discovered that the chain-saw pruner head would also fit the shaft and was able to fine one on ebay for less than half price.  It hadn't been used enough for the chain to be sharpened.  Since I'm 6'6", I can trim fairly high around the fields and roads with just the normal trimmer shaft.  There were some srooping limbs that I had to have one of the boys run me up in the loader to cut.  Now that none of the boys are still at home and I don't trust riding the loader bucket when my wife is driving, I spent WAY to much money to get one of the extendable pole pruners.  It cost alot, but it hurt much less that what I could do to my self with the short one :-)
Not to be disperaging to a Troy-Bilt trimmer, but I suspect "It's not your fathers' Troy-Bilt".
