HI Bob,

Thanks for your message.  You are right about the sludge concern, but the 
sludge will probably not be a concern at 145 degrees.  Many marine engines 
that are salt water cooled run at about 140 degrees and don't have the 
sludge problem.  It is also true that engines generally run better and 
cleaner when they run hotter, but remain out of the boiling range.
