Unfortunately no instructions.  Came from a yard sale.  Adapter kit
probably has instructions with it but cheapest I found adapter kit is
150 bux online and 70 bux shipping on top of that!  Bought iron today to
make my own.  

I did call the trailer factory today and they recommend directly over
the axle.

I really appreciate all the responses; am still trying to make up my
mind between directly over or an inch or 2 forward
