Gene,

I forgot to mention that an "All Fuel" Tractor had a different engine set-up in
it than a Gas version. You can run gas in an "All Fuel" tractor but not
"Distillate" in a gas engine.

Gene:

Yes and "All Fuel" tractor was designed to run on "Tractor Fuel" or "Distillate"
which is the name I heard used for it when I was a kid. Tractor Fuel had its own
formula at the time. The closest thing to that kind of fuel we have today is
Kerosene but isn't quite the same. For fun one can use kerosene and possibly
even furnace oil or maybe even diesel fuel. They will run on almost anything
that burns but
what kind of HP one would achieve on each is an unknown. The tractors were
started on Gas and then switched over to "Tractor Fuel" after the engine had
warmed up.

Dean, looking at the two different Nebraska tests at the link, what is
the "tractor fuel" used in the second one? I just took a look at the
two pdfs---the second one says it is an all-fuel, is this test on
kerosene, aka tractor fuel?
