[AT] OT Chevy engine ID?

Thanks Steve, Yeah I knew that one was there but getting to it is hard for
me. I finally found out what I wanted to know about the stamped number.
Tonawanda engine plant, day and month of manf. and type of engine. In my
case there is still a question. I could be a early 427 block or a mid 80's
454 block. The engine was sold to me as a 454 but even if it is it could be
a stroked 427 right? I'm pretty sure the engine isn't the one that came in
it.
I can't figure out how to get my FATG body into a contortion that will allow
me to see the number you are talking about.
