Thanks Rob

That's what I remembered doing to put the new one on but wasn't sure
(just too many years have passed).  Couldn't recall anything about how I
took the old one off.

When I did this for a living I found it fastest to hacksaw it off. Just
cut
in between the teeth and it usually cracks in two and falls off before
you're all the way through. To put the new one on heat it up with a
torch
and drop it on. 15 minutes max.

The time has come where I have to change the flywheel ring gear on my
420
JD.  Can't find a "good spot" on it to start it again.  :-(
