[AT] The Wreck Of The Old 97

I used to love listening to the cylinder records. One of my favorites was
Barney Google with his Go-Go-Googlie eyes. Made me laugh every time I heard
it. My Dad and I used to collect them and have about 300 or more records in
2 minute and 4 minute versions and 12 cylinder record players from Home
units to Amberolas. We also have a few 78 players and a ton of records too.
The only problem with the blue ones was the plaster insides swelled and you
couldn't get them on the mandrel to play them. One of my Dad's most prized
is one in Edison's own voice. VERY rare. As for carelessness I know where
you're coming from. I broke one of my favorite 78s once the Wabash
Cannonball. I was broken too. I ended up gluing it to a cardboard backing
and it still played. I still have it.

Larry,

As I think you know, I was broken hearted when I lost my copy on the early 2
minute cylinder to carelessness. :-(

You picked up even quicker than I expected!

George
