[AT] Assembly Lube?

Robert, I too use the STP/30 wt motor oil mixture...about 50/50, and have
for
even longer than you. But, I do use a moly type assembly lube on the cam
lobes (should be available at most parts stores - has EP additives).

Some people pack the oil pump with Vaseline (petroleum jelly) to help with
building up oil pressure quickly on initial start-up. In fact, I was
talking with
the owner of a local automotive machine shop just last week who told me that
he uses just Vaseline for an assembly lube except on cam lobes. He's been
in business for 34 years so I guess it must work.

Alan
