[AT] quiet list-- ethonal

Just got my computer back up with a brand new hard drive. Trying to catch
up with the conversation! LOL

I am in the process of heat tracing and insulating a tank for biodiesel for
a local oil jobber. Well his home office is local but, as I have recently
learned, he's a lot bigger fish than I thought he was. Anyway, I had a
conversation with him last week about biodiesel and ethanol. He says he
thinks that both of them will eventually become the fuel we use. I told him
that with the energy it requires to make ethanol that I didn't understand
why they weren't building ethanol plants attached to other industrial plants
that have to get rid of waste heat. He says that it is beginning to happen.
He also told me that the paper companies were working hard on making ethanol
from wood chips and that it isn't far from happening.

We'll see how it works out.
