I got frustrated with my Poulan 20" saw throwing chains a few years ago and
took it to a pro oriented shop . Their comment (ignoring the Poulan ????
comments) was you really shouldn't be limbing with a long bar, 14" would
work a whole lot better. I bought a 14" Stihl miniboss with the non-tools
chain tension option when they went on sale and never looked back. If I
occasionally watch the chain's tension it never comes off and is a whole lot
easier to use when compared to the Poulan. I eventually bought a Stihl 290
Farm boss with a 16" bar and basically never use the Poulan any more - it
takes a big saw engine to pull a 20" chain well.
