Hi Andy
I agree with you that it sure is nice to be able to run equipment that is
always ready to work and without problems. Nowadays I have a bit more choice
whereas in the past it was simply not affordable. Those new little compacts
do work great. My brother bought a Kubota B1800 diesel a few years ago and
really enjoys using it around the yard. But for winter work pushing snow its
the 30 year old Massey 1085 that gets the job done. And it cost a lot less
than the Kubota plus he sits in a heated cab. So each choice has it's pros
and cons. Running older equipment is not practical for anyone who is not
capable of doing at least some of their own repair and maintenance.
