Around here (NJ) the problem seems to be that owners are throwing
anything into them that will burn, and neighbors are all in a tizzy over
the smell, dense smoke, and pollution. There are stories of people
burning oil/paint rags, Wolmanized and creosote wood scraps, demolition
lumber, old tires, etc. It seem as if there are always a few jerks who
screw things up for everyone else.
