[AT] Tractor hauler product needed, probably doesn't exist

I have been looking at "mature" trucks and everything over about 8 or
9 years old has rust at the top of the rear fender wheel openings.
Most of the time it only extends up about 2" or if bad about 3". On
older stuff the rim of the opening is often gone. The rest of the body
on these trucks is usually OK and even the paint is OK. I have been
the route of replacing panels before and don't think it is the best
answer. Lots of labor and unless it is a full repaint then it almost
always shows in the paint.
Somebody is really missing the boat if no one makes a replacement
fender flair for pickups out of plastic like these only wider.

You could install a pair in minutes preferably after thorough cleaning
and coating the rusted area with that rust converter and then maybe a
bed-liner like coating. They should maybe extend up about 6" and would
look like a custom touch rather than a patch. Some guys shouldn't be
left alone with Bondo... Speciall panels could be produced that would
cover the whole lower bed sides as well. They could be injected molded
and should be profitable at about $100 a pair. Anybody looking for an
opportunity?
Maybe they are out there and I just haven't found them.
