Phil I checked the price on a pump for my 06 GMC the other day. I don't
need one but they have a habit of going out and I was on a good parts sight
so I looked it up. Roughly $450.00

My 89 GMC has a hole in the bed of the pickup right over the gas tank. Had
the pump replaced and it went back out a few days later when the tank was
full and I didn't have time to remove it or the bed. So I sawed a hole in
the bed. Turned out that the mechanic that put the pump in put the ground
wire in a bind and it pulled in two.
