[AT] New chainsaw

    Farmer;
    I was able to buy a Poulan model 1950 Wood Shark saw on ebay for $85.00
plus shipping. Saw was pre-owned, but had never been used. 76 year old lady
thought she could use it, but she was not up to the task. It is a nice light
and powerful saw with 14 inch bar. Has the low profile engine cover. Got it
to replace my Homelite XL-2 with 12 inch bar.
    Still using my old Pioneer P40 for all the heavy cutting. This saw is
now 30 years old and still running strong. I alternate between a 16 inch and
20 inch bar, depending on the requirement. Chain is normally a .058 gauge.
The bar has some wear to it, so replaced the chain with .063 gauge to take
the side play out of the chain. This has worked well and helps to make nice
straight cuts.

            Gene
