[AT] Profane propane prices; was Fuel prices

I just bought and installed a 119,000 BTU wood/coal furnace and am
burning tornado scraps... The wood furnace feeds a little over half
of its heat into the old gas furnace and I am just using the old
furnace as an air handler with a filter.
I also bought the smallest Wood-mizer band saw mill and will have tons
of slab wood to burn.
I have a solar room out front that was never on the heating system and
I have a pellet stove running on low out there. I was using a pellet
stove for 90% of my heat feeding it through the old gas furnace. My
very good neighbor and I went together and bought a semi-load (1,150
bags) of oak pellets (worked out to $2.99 a bag, delivered free) and
we used maybe 2/3rds of them. This year there is a huge sawdust
shortage since the building trade is down so bad. The company that
made our pellets is really in the pre-finished oak flooring business.
They have already over-sold for this year and won't even take an order
at any price.
My neighbor now wants for us to go into the pellet making business
together on a small scale. Mostly making pellets for our own use but a
couple of other neighbors have expressed an interest in buying from us
which might cover expenses.
We have been looking this possibility over for a while now.
