Kind of neat and probably a great useful modern tractor. I saw little
8N there beyond hood and paint.
:-)
I used my recently acquired TO-20 a little yesterday and was reminded
of why I always liked the one we used to have. Easy to get on and off,
easy to steer and easy to pivot on the seat to look back. I have a
little Yanmar 1500 that is a great little tractor but is hard to get
on and off for an old man and since I sit on it with my knees touching
both fenders my stiff old back will not let me look behind me at all.
I grew up as a young kid on a 9N, TO-20 and a Jubilee. The 9N was
traded for the Jubilee but when the time came to trade something for
the MF-65D we kept the TO-20. We had been using oversized piston and
sleeve sets in it for many years and it was every bit as capable in
the field as the Jubilee. In spite of having done a massive amount of
work that TO-20 was much like the Energizer Bunny and just kept going
and going with nothing more than an occasional engine overhaul.
I did later own a great little 8N which I stupidly sold.
