What wears out; the lock pin or the end for the arm?  These would be a
big convenience if I could fix & use them as I work alone mostly &
trying to get the tractor in just the right place can be a pain.

They are probably worn out.  I found a lot of these when I worked in the

tractor shop as a kid.  The easiest way to repair it was to weld them.
