===================================

I was sitting in my lazyboy with my laptop in my lap doing a little
writing. One of the storm windows started rattling as it sometimes does
in the wind. A few seconds later the rest of them (a 20' row of windows)
began rattling badly and they don't usually do that even in the wind.
Then my chair began jiggling. I went to the patio door and opened it and
was a little surprised that the wind was dead calm. The dog and cats
seemed completely unconcerned so I went back to my keyboard... The house
has creaked a few times today while I was inside. I suppose it was light
after-shocks. They said to expect some.
A couple of more tons of iron left the farm permanently today and a
couple of more tons will leave in a week or two.
It may soon get a lot lighter... I am still trying to decide on getting
rid of some of my bigger equipment that I don't really need now that I
have retired. I want to keep the smaller stuff that will work well with
my 50 to 55 HP tractors and smaller but I am still debating with myself
on the stuff like my 4020 and the 16' IHC disk, the Glenco chisel plow
and the Deere 24' field cultivator. Of course I want to keep all of my
hay equipment but should get rid of my Gleaner F combine.
I need to pick up a manure spreader this spring.

We have been back in family funeral mode again this week. Son Scott's
mother-in-law died of cancer last weekend and the funeral was yesterday.
Scott thought a lot of her and her husband is a great guy. I worked with
him on Scott's house addition.

I just went out a bit ago and yelled at a batch of coyotes... It
sounded like about 5 or 6 of them about 40 yards outside of the back
door going into full chorus. We couldn't even hear the TV... :-)
Now they were making the dogs nervous.
