The alternate wheel spin was probably just a oscillation that once started,
fed on itself. I've seen it before but now don't remember when or where.
It seems we almost always lost traction on the land side first. Later
tractors had a diff. lock that of course really adds to the traction
available in these conditions.
Around the traction booster on the old trycycle WD-45's was the "wheelie"
feature. When the needle went up plowing, so did the front wheels.
