Efco is, or was as of a couple of years ago, the same as Jonsered.  I have 2 
Jonsered saws and have worn out 3 string trimmers.  The Jonsered equipment 
is excellent quality.

The new Deere saws are indeed Efco-built. I don't know much about them other
than that. I do know that Efco builds a nice HD string trimmer/brush cutter
as I have an oilfield customer who uses them. Not cheap but seems really
well built and no complaints from the users.
