[AT] A most unusual auto on the freeway!

Does anyone know whether the Lake Michigan road rally is still a reality?
Fifty years ago, I remember that race completely around the perimeter of
Lake Michigan on a summer weekend was a big thing.

Mattias, do you mean they drove around through the middle east or via some
sort of ferry from Africa to Spain or France or somewhere? Either way it's
a heck of a trip. I'm just curious how one would go about it.

I've always been interested in that rally car business that goes on down in
Africa. I'd love to try it myself.

The 2 CV clubs had their worldmeet in Borlänge this summer. I lost
count early on how many of thoose we had to overtake on our way to
Magdalenas Parents. There was some guys that had driven all the way
from central Africa :-o
