  Crankshafts can some times be made to work on engines where certain
sizes of bearings are  getting hard to find.  Depending on the wear or
damage the stroke can be changed to where less material has to be
removed.  As long as all the throws are the same changing the stroke
.010" or so will not matter too much.  My T-35 crawler had a spun rod. I
was able to grind it with out having to weld up the journals by changing
the stroke. It does take careful measuring then grinding to the rough
size.  Then order the bearings, assemble, torque to measure the bore and
finish grind to fit.
