Hi Herb,

The Ford Tri-motors were a part of local history. When I first learned to
fly Island Airlines at nearby Port Clinton had a fleet of 3 to service the
Lake Erie islands.

One of them ended up in the hands of Dale Glenn who barnstormed around the
country giving rides. It was destroyed and EAA rebuilt the remains. It was
destroyed again by a windstorm at EAA's field at Burlington, WI and rebuilt
once more. I think that was the plane you rode in.

I never rode in one but I knew several of the pilots... Brian Osgood and
Newell Witte, And the owner Ralph Hirshberger.

I'm sure you and Barbara enjoyed your flight.

George
