Dee, Bruce, John, Bill, Dean,
Thanks for your responses on the cultivator questions. Looks like we are
gaining ground.

I will start looking again for the pictures (and previous owner info ) I
took
when I bought the tractor....put in a safe place anticipating the move from
Santa Maria to Ferndale...I am sure others know the end to this story...

Those of you that offered copies, I will contact off list with further info
to make sure we are on the right track. I really do appreciate your help
here.

Until I find the pictures...as a point of reference-the truss rods go to the

extreme outside of the main bar, and there is some resemblance to the 880
cultivator shown on p. 176 of the MacMillan Vol. 1 book on John Deere
Tractors and
Equipment. The front cultivator was actuated by a cylinder in a cradle on
the left side of the engine.

Regarding the rear cultivator John, I am so pleased that there might be some

data on it. I will take a picture and send it your way. I am interested
in
some LA parts also. Very solid equipment, even looks like it could bolt
to
my 35 "B" axles without much modification, parallelograms with a cylinder in

each of the two parallelograms. I hope this is what your book is showing.

Thanks again,
John Maxwell
