John,
Thanks for the tip that the front cultivator might also be Kileffer.   I 
think they were known for building things in a heavy duty mode, and this had the 
characteristics of that.   The tractor is from the Los Olivos area, and was 
used primarily to cultivate beans.   With that heavy cultivator on the front, it 
is easy to see why they added the power steering.   I will try to dig up some 
pictures of when I had the cultivator on the tractor.
