The reserve hasn't been met yet (Don't know what that might be) and the high
bid right now is $8600. I don't think it will go that high. My little
wager will be that it stays under $40,000 if it meets the reserve (whatever
that might be). Troy

You are bidding on what many say is the second rarest and least known JD
tractor, this is the prototype 840 that JD used as the design platform,
many of the XR parts were later used on the electric start 830s, this
tractor has both factory tags, (RX869) (840026) and 19 XR
parts,(experimental research). It has been completly restored to the
original condtion, it is in many photos in the original owners manuals,
archive images and text, along with being an experimental tractor it is
also beleived to be the last two cylinder to ship out of the Waterloo
Tractor Works, June of 1963, included in the sale is a complete photo
diary of the restoration, archive information and a complete list of all the
XR parts on the tractor, some not visiable due to location. Buy with
confidence, this is a nice tractor. I dont accept pay pal, bank check
prefered. Sold in as in condition, will store inside until shipping is
arranged, if you have any questions please ask. location of tractor is
