[AT] More JD B transmission probems

Joe is certain it is a late Model B, even though the
tag is missing. The casting numbers on the case are
different on the B and the 50, so it is easy enough to
be sure of the model without the serial tag.

Why does his Model B tractor have the shifting fork of
the Model 50 in it? One theory is that when the B2585R
shifting fork was previously replaced, the new Deere
parts available at the time were those for the Model
50. Apparently they fit and did the job, so that is
what was used. Joe has decided that since he has to
replace the fork anyway, he may as well put original
B parts back in and I will be sending him a used and
original fork that I have.
