Chris,

I have aftermarket ones available. They "look" original, they have the dent
in them, not the pipe like the cheap Stanley's. Outlet ID is 2.5", Height
24.5".

Price is $29.10 + shipping.

Lou

Subject: [AJD] Reproduction JD A Mufflers

I am unhappy with the selection of mufflers for
the Styled A. I was browsing Deerely Departed one
day and spotted what the described as an A muffler,
expo quality, also for the 60, 70 and some other
numbered models. Well, when it arrived, it is for an
Unstyled A, No dent. They don't make one for the
styled A, I should have specified that I needed a
dent.. blah blah blah.. Nice looking muffler, not
quite perfect, poorly painted.. I will probably use
it on my Unstyled AR since I am unwilling to pay the
freight back to them.

So, as I was running the part number DD
referenced on their website on Deere's online parts
finder, Lo and behold it subs to the Styled A
muffler.. JD's price $52.. (2 buck more than the DD
muffler) Well now, the must have cut their prices..
I ordered 2 of them...

I picked my mufflers up this morning.. Not really impressieve either.
It doesn't look as bad as the 'el cheapo' mufflers you can buy for 25-29
bucks repro,
and it is the right height, but clearly the quality
is lesser than it used to be.

So, does anyone know where I can get an original
looking muffler for a styled A??

               Chris
