[AT] Welding Grousers...?

Yes, Cecil used regular grouser stock and 7018 rod with a Lincoln 
"tombstone" welder on his JD 1020 crawler. He was new to welding and 
just did as several ATIS members suggested - working on the shoes when 
they were up and then moving the machine to the next, tacking them first 
on the corners and then laying a bead after they were in in place. He 
said it was tedious, but not at all difficult, after he got the hang of it.

Unfortunately, since I don't own a crawler, I didn't save those 
messages, but Steve Offiler might have.
